Web Design: New Preschool Division

Tagged in: Content Strategy, Information Architecture, Project Management, Wireframing

Project Summary

With a new division on the horizon, I had to quickly plan and design a website that showed prospective families that our unique learning environment was going to be nurturing yet academically focused. This was also a major project that introduced the school to the concept of responsive design.

Project Highlights

  • a discovery phase that showed me how prospective families were qualifying potential preschools and how the school wanted to differentiate themselves from local competitors.
  • building an information architecture that allowed preschool parents quickly understand what the school offered and how their children would thrive in our school environment.
  • varying design deliverables were used to determine a final direction that lead to a welcoming and award winning design.

As the project manager, designer and content strategist I was responsible for both the planning and execution of the project. With the help of our team, I built a lightweight content strategy, information architecture and a design that hit all of the school’s and user goals outlined early in the project’s roadmap.

Industry Awards

This web design won both MarCom Gold and CASE Bronze awards.
